(January 10, 2025) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team suffered a crushing loss in its first-time match-up with undefeated Shepaug Valley. The Cougars are now 3-3 on the season.

HKHS was led by senior Andrew Crayton who had 25 points and 7 rebounds. Juniors Jay Evans and Spencer Savoy secured 4 and 3 rebounds, respectively adding 4 points each. Sophomores Mason Eighmy and Brody Ferguson saw playing time adding 5 and 4 points respectively.  Also seeing playing time were sophomores Noah Marica (2 points) and Kody Lehet who had one HK’s few steals on the night. Rounding out the scoring senior Jake McKenzie added 2 points. Evans, Spencer, McKenzie and senior Joe Slane did their best to out-muscle Shepaug Valley’s aggressive play. The Cougars hope to right the ship on January 10, 2025 at home against Old Saybrook; JV at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity at 7:00 p.m. See you on the Court.
