(January 8, 2025) —The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team lost a nailbiter to their East Haddam rival, the Nathan Hale-Ray Noises, on January 7, 2025. The Cougars fall to 3-2 on the season with the loss.

The score was tied for most of the game with Hale-Ray taking the lead with less than a minute to go. The Cougars had opportunities, but could not capitalize. Senior Andrew Crayton led the team with 19 points, including five 3-pointers and 8 rebounds; Cody Robinson had eight points. Junior Jay Evans continued to hustle on defense securing four steals and contributing six points.

Rounding out the scoring, Juniors Declan Moriarty and Spencer Savoy had 5 and 4 points respectively and Sophomore Brody Ferguson chipped in 4. It was a disappointing loss for the Cougars after a strong start to the season. The Cougars look to bounce back at home on Thursday, January 9, 2025 against Shepaug Valley. JV at 5:30 p.m., and Varsity at 7:00 p.m.  See you on the Court.
