Boys Basketball 2024: HKHS Falls to Cromwell

(January 2, 2025) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team was handed its first loss of the season, falling to defending Shoreline Conference champion Cromwell Panthers on December 19, 2024 by a final score of 52-44.

HKHS kept the game within reach, tying the Panthers in the 2nd quarter and bringing the game to within 3 during the 4th quarter. Spencer Savoy led the Cougars with an impressive double-double: 14 points and 13 rebounds. Cody Robinson chipped in with 11 including three 3-pointers. Rounding out the scoring were Jay Evans with 8, Declan Moriarty with 7 and Noah Marica with 4.

The Cougars continued to showcase their defensive talents, including strong performances by Evans and Savoy who continue to hustle, while sophomore Marica landed 12 rebounds. The Cougars are 1-1 on the season heading into the new year. Next up for HKHS, Morgan at home on January 2, 2025, JV at 5:30 p.m., Varsity at 7:00 p.m.. Come out to support the Cougars.
