Letter to the Editor: “Hittin’ the Road with Kathryn Russell”

The views stated here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the editors of this newspaper. We welcome supporting or opposing views on any published item. Received October 2, 2024.

I had the pleasure of driving Kathryn Russell around Chester on her “door-knocking” mission to meet and converse with the citizens of the four towns in the 36th District.  She was particularly excited to engage in meaningful dialogue about the concerns of people in our community and their hopes for the future.  This is what good representatives do to understand their constituency.

By mid-September, she had knocked on more than a thousand doors!  Kathryn’s academic background, professional business experience, local government service, and community involvement demonstrate what an asset she will be as the 36th District representative, bringing a refreshingly conservative and common-sense approach to solving the challenges facing our towns.

We are tired of our politicians driving a party agenda that increases the current and future financial burden our citizens must carry. Kathryn is dedicated to genuinely representing our towns’ interests in balance with legitimate state governance and is committed to delivering results that help our small towns thrive.  Please join me in voting for her in November.  Let your voice be heard!
