The communities of Chester, Deep River, Haddam and Essex are fortunate to have Renee La Mark Muir on the ballot for State Representative. Renee has lived in Deep River for thirty years. In that time, she has been an active and vocal part of our communities.

Renee’s background includes working as a policy analyst, a police officer, detective and investigator of public corruption and governmental malfeasance. I can’t think of anyone who has a better understanding of the legal and legislative process and would be more qualified to represent us in our state government. She understands how the system works and has demonstrated a passion and commitment to a just society.

Many of you have probably already met Renee. She has gone out into the community to meet with people and to listen to their thoughts and concerns. You have probably seen her at community events and in your neighborhoods. As a result, she has a platform that reflects the needs of the constituents she intends to serve.

This includes protecting the environment, ensuring safety in our towns, protecting women’s healthcare and reproductive rights, and advocating for affordable housing. Most importantly, she is known to be someone who will get the job done.
I’m happy to endorse her as State Representative. She will be a strong and formidable advocate for all of us.
