Letter to the Editor: Renee LaMark Muir Ready to Jump In

The views stated here are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the editors of this newspaper. We welcome supporting or opposing views on any published item. Received September 21, 2024.

The towns of Haddam, Chester, Deep River, and Essex are extremely fortunate to have an astute and experienced candidate running for their state representative. Renee LaMark Muir is a genuine longtime resident of Deep River. She grew up in our local towns and chose to make her home here. Renee owns a horse farm with her husband and has been an active member of her community.

She has served on several local committees in addition to her position as an analyst with the Connecticut General Assembly. In this role she has worked with the General Assembly’s Program Review and Investigations Committee, a position requiring strict ethics and problem-solving skills.

This extensive experience has prepared her to jump right into her new role as our state representative. Renee has already demonstrated her leadership and ability to work with others in government. Elect Renee LaMark Muir to represent our local towns. She knows us well and understands what is needed to improve the quality of life in the Lower Connecticut River Valley. We could not be better served!
