Submitted by Debbie Karpf

(August 28, 2024) — The Haddam Garden Club will present a program called Mysterious Mosses on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at the Haddam Firehouse, 439 Saybrook Road in Higganum.

Did you know that mosses may be the oldest plants on earth? They often provide suitable habitats in which seedlings and other plant species can thrive, including trees and wildflowers.

Join us as Jeff Holcombe, local biologist, botanist, professor, researcher and author teaches us about these amazing plants and their importance.

Tickets: $10 – Sweet treats and beverages will be served.

For reservations please contact: Lynne Cooper at llcooper13@comcast.net
