(August 8, 2024) — Haddam-Killingworth Youth and Family Services (HKYFS) has a fantastic lineup of events this month to support our community. Here’s what’s coming up:

School Supply Program – Sign Up by August 13th

Our School Supply Program is dedicated to providing essential items like backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles, and other school supplies to students in need. This initiative ensures that every student starts the school year prepared and confident. Don’t miss the deadline to sign up by August 13, 2024.

Family Baseball Game Night – August 15th

Join us for an exciting evening with the Yard Goats as they face off against the Somerset Patriots on August 15, 2024. This event promises to be a great opportunity for families to bond over America’s favorite pastime. Tickets include dinner in the picnic pavilion and transportation.

Free Back to School Haircut Event – August 25th

Prepare for the upcoming school year at our Sixth Annual Free Haircut Event on August 25, 2024 at the Haddam Firehouse. Special thanks to Dillon Zak, an HKHS graduate and owner of Glenwood Barber Shop, for bringing this event back for the sixth year! Dillon and his coworkers offer free haircuts for students, helping them look and feel their best as they return to school.

Additionally, we will be collecting canned goods for the HK Backpack program, and Dillon will be giving away a free Nintendo Switch to one lucky customer. Don’t miss out on this fantastic event!

Check out our website www.hkyfs.org for more information and to sign up for these events.
