We’ve got some exciting things coming up. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Our “Healthy Brain Series” begins on Friday, August 2, 2024 and will run every Friday in August from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. This program is presented in partnership with Hartford Healthcare and will have a different topic discussed each week. This is a great program for family and caregivers as well. Advanced sign-up is not required.
  • Wednesday August 7, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Pizza and a Movie: Evening Edition! The Senior Center will be opening up Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. for a special edition of our Pizza and a Movie franchise. The movie is “Flowers of the Killer Moon.” Please sign up in advance so we can be sure to order enough pizza.
  • Friday August 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. – Our inaugural GameDay – Trivia Edition! Join us for fun games and prizes while testing your skills in a variety of trivia genres.
  • Monday August 19, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Sherry Carlson will be here for blood pressure screenings.
  • Monday August 26, 2024 at 12:30pm – Nancy Meyers returns to the Senior Center to play some “Oldies But Goodies” on her fiddle

Have you heard the good news? We are now open on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For now there is no lunch served on Fridays, but come down for coffee, conversation and cards as well as our “Healthy Brain Series.” Neal Perron will be your host.

We also continue to have Bingo on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month; Mahjongg every Monday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m., cards every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. We also serve a delicious hot lunch, every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at noon. Advanced reservation is required.

Please share what we’re doing with your friends.
