Letter to the Editor: Theatre Group Disappointed by HES Referendum Results

The views stated here are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the editors of this newspaper. We welcome supporting or opposing views on any published item. Received July 24, 2024.

Blue Fire Stage is greatly saddened at the results of Tuesday’s referendum approving the lease of HES to Rak Realty. This project will effectively render us homeless and greatly impact our ability to continue our programming within our community.

As was stated in a recent information session, there is “no space” for us in the former HES building with this project moving forward. At this point we will work to find other options to stay viable as an arts asset to the community.

We ask for support from the community during this challenging time for us. If you want to support our nonprofit organization, please buy tickets to come see our amazing performance this weekend, make a donation to our organization and follow us on social media for more opportunities to show how “Blue Fire” you are!

Tickets for The Great American Trailer Park Musical, July 25-27 can be purchased at Bluefirestage.ticketleap.com

Donations can be made via Venmo or PayPal at bluefirestage.org
