(June 26, 2024) — Each year the Haddam Garden Club offers $500 scholarships to graduating Haddam-Killingworth High School seniors who plan a course of college study in environmental studies, horticulture, forestry or related fields. This year we were pleased to have two deserving recipients.
Jillian LaRosa will attend the University of New Hampshire to study horticulture sciences, with a focus on agriculture and sustaining world food systems.
Johanna Thelan will attend the University of Rhode Island to study environmental science and policy in hopes of influencing legislation on climate change through law.
We are excited to support both of these students as they strive to make our world a better place. Congratulations!
