Haddam Historical Society Presents Scholarship and Service Awards

Submitted by Elizabeth Malloy

(June 21, 2024) — On June 3, 2024, the Haddam Historical Society awarded two scholarships at the Haddam-Killingworth High School Scholarship Award Night.

Our 2024 Scholarship was presented to Samantha Pach (photo below, left), the daughter of Mark and Heather Pach of Haddam. The $500 scholarship award was based upon scholastic standing, contribution to school, community service and interest in history. Samantha will be attending Pennsylvania State University in the fall.

A special service award scholarship was presented to Jaimey DiNapoli (photo above, right), the daughter of Carolyn and Jim DiNapoli of Killingworth. Jaimey has volunteered for the Haddam Historical Society for a number of years, assisting with our summer program “A Week in the Life of An Early American Child.” Jaimey will be attending Norwich University in the fall.

Scholarship Chairperson Susann Costa noted that this is the twelfth annual scholarship award, and that the Society is delighted to be able to help support the continuing education of our community’s deserving students and to advocate for the importance of history, both locally and globally.
