Find a Fur Baby: Say Hello to Ducky

Submitted by Judith Levin

(November 10, 2023) — Poor Ducky was picked up by Haddam Animal Control Officer as a stray. He has been at the pound for a few months and needs a home of his own. He is a Hound Mix, around two to three years old.

Ducky is not neutered, but a voucher will be given to the new owners to assist with the cost. Even though Animal Control doesn’t really know much about this handsome little guy, they do know he is so very sweet and friendly. He will sit for treats, loves to play ball, walk, take hikes and just be with you everywhere you go.

He absolutely loves people, is good with dogs he has met, but has not been tested with kitties. He is very, very thin and needs some trips to the drive-thru at McDonald’s for those Happy Meals in order to beef up. When you visit him, he will put his paws on your lap and rest his head to look at you, praying you will take him home.

Wouldn’t it be nice to get him a home just in time for Thanksgiving? All that turkey and gravy. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Won’t you open your hearts for him? If you would like to meet Ducky, please contact Animal Control Officer April at: 860-682-2710. You also can send an email to actanimals@comcast.net. Ducky can’t wait to meet you!
