Tax Collector
Sheri Berger (R): I have been a Haddam resident for close to 20 years, residing in the Hidden Lake area (a special taxing district in Higganum). I began volunteering in the Hidden Lake Association back in 2014 before becoming a board member. I have been serving as the HLA Tax Collector for the past 5 years.
I have enjoyed working in and serving my small lake community as tax collector and would love the opportunity to serve the Town of Haddam.
I understand the importance of keeping the collection rate high to help keep the mill rate low. I am dedicated to continuing to strengthen the efficiency of the tax office and make it accessible and convenient for the taxpayers of Haddam.
My experience and knowledge in tax collecting and state statutes will ensure the town will have a smooth transition in November.
