Full term
Carolyn Anderson (D):
Tell us a little about yourself.
I have lived in Killingworth with my husband, Steve, for 28 years, and have two daughters (Lizzy and Cailey). I have served on the Board of Assessment Appeals for the past four years and was on the Board of Finance from 2013 to 2017.
Why are you running for this position?
I enjoy serving on the BOAA and find the role rewarding as we work together to help resolve our residents’ concerns.
What do you see as the important issues facing your town and how you address them in your role?
Taxes. Residents deserve to have their assessment appeals listened to with sensitivity and expertise.
What are the key things you love about this town and its people?
I have organized the Hartford Kids Holiday Shopping Event for the past 16 years. I’m amazed at Haddam and Killingworth residents’ generosity in support of the event.
Additional thoughts to leave voters with?
I will continue to work with other members of the Board to arrive at fair and well-considered decisions.
