USCG Auxiliary Offers “Boat America” Course June 1st

(May 28, 2024)— The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is once again offering its “BOAT AMERICA” class. Boaters can take the course and complete the proctored test in the same location at U.S.C.G. Auxiliary Milford Flotilla on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. at its Training Center located at 1 Helwig Street, Milford, the location for all classes listed below.

Please bring it with you to pay by check or cash at the door starting at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the class. All students must obtain a State of Connecticut conservation ID number before taking the BA/PWC/TOW class. To register for a FREE ID number: go to https://ct.aspirafocus.com/internetsales .

“BOAT AMERICA” will cover all the basic topics required for the safe operation of recreational boating and seamanship. It will also cover safe personal watercraft operation and towing. Successful completion of this 8-hour BA course satisfies the Connecticut licensing requirements for boats, personal watercraft (PWC) and towing. Family participation is encouraged. Cost is $60 per person.

Navigation and GPS Charting class is set for July 20, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m.
