University of Saint Joseph Celebrates Local Students’ Achievements

WEST HARTFORD, CT (05/18/2022)– On May 13, 2022 the University of Saint Joseph held its fourth annual Hooding and Award Ceremony for the Class of 2022 graduates of the Physician Assistant Studies Program, including Samantha Zaza of Haddam. An opening prayer was offered by Associate Professor and PA Studies Chair Tricia Marriott, PA-C, MPAS, MJ Health Law, CHC, DFAAPA. President Rhona Free and Dean of the School of Pharmacy & Physician Assistant Studies, Ahmed Abdelmageed, PharmD, also offered opening and closing remarks.

On Friday, May 13, 2022, the University of Saint Joseph’s Department of Nursing also held its Undergraduate Nursing Award and Pinning Ceremony. The event included a welcome from Chair of the department of Nursing, Janet Knecht, Ph.D., and greetings from USJ President Free, along with a blessing of the hands. Students were also honored with a series of awards.
