(November 4, 2023) — In the summer of 2015, Alan’s Small Engine Service, Fireworks Hearth and Home, and River’s Edge Home Center got together and purchased a live Christmas tree. With the permission of River Valley Provisions and Tony’s Package Store, we planted a beautiful Christmas tree on their green.
This year will be our seventh year celebrating. We have grown this free event to listening to and singing Christmas carols, grilling burgers and hot dogs, sipping hot chocolate, roasting marshmallows by a beautiful fire, and, of course, Santa bringing gifts for all the Children. This is a free event for our community.
Now, years later, many other Tylerville businesses have gotten involved and have helped support this amazing event.
Any donation, big or small to this wonderful event, can be made at Liberty Bank, under the account name “Tylerville Tree Lighting.” Checks can be mailed directly to Liberty Bank, 116 Bridge Road, Haddam, CT 06438. This year’s lighting is on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Please Park at River Valley Provisions parking lot.
