(September 30, 2023)—Vehicle # 1 was traveling southbound on I-95 just south of exit 71 in the town of Old Lyme. Vehicle #2 was traveling southbound of I-95 just south of exit 71. Vehicle #2 struck Vehicle #1 in the rear. Vehicle #2 crossed into the right shoulder, struck the metal beam guardrail, and rolled onto its passenger’s side. Operator #2 was ejected from Vehicle #2. Operator #2 was pronounced deceased on scene. The accident is under active investigation. If anyone has information they are requested to contact Troop F at 860-399-2100.
