The first Spring Invasive Plant Cleanup will be Saturday, April 11, 2020, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon (rain date April 18) at Haddam Meadows State Park. Meet at a new location, along the path to the fish dam. We will remove a new invasive, Japanese/Korean knotweed, along with oriental bittersweet, mug wort, multi-floral rose, etc. and pick up litter.
Adult and youth, under 16 years of age accompanied by an adult should dress for the weather, bring garden loppers or a saw, sunscreen and first aid supplies. Snacks will be provided. Do not bring pets. Volunteers are needed with dump trucks and Haddam transfer station stickers.
Saturday, May 9, 2020 – Second Spring Invasive Plant Cleanup 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon (raindate May 16, 2020). Same info. as above.
