Service Changes Coming to River Valley Transit

(May 9, 2024) — Service updates are coming May 28, 2024 on River Valley Transit buses that serve Haddam and Killingworth. These include:

  • Sunday service on the 581/582, 583, 584/585, 586, 590 and 641
  • Saturday night service on the 581/582, 583, 584/585 and 590
  • Weeknight service on 590 and 583
  • Modified Saturday routes
  • Adjustments to weekday routes

Printed schedules will be available next week on board buses and at the terminal. Click on link below for more information:

Xtra Mile Expanding

Thanks to a two year pilot program funded by CTDOT, XtraMile is expanding. XtraMile is a low-cost ride sharing service that anyone can use to get to and from nearly anywhere in our service area, typically within twenty minutes of your request. Our shuttle bus picks you up and takes you to wherever it is you need to go, no advance booking required. New service will  include:

  • East Hampton’s Belltown area
  • All of Guilford and Madison
  • Additional days and hours in the Middletown zone

Park Connect Service Resumes

ParkConneCT is the best way to the best beach in Connecticut. This service to Hammonasset Beach State Park resumes May 25, 2028 and includes:

  • Clinton Trolley Thursday through Sunday and holidays
  • New for 2024: 645 service from Middletown to Hammonasset on Sundays and holidays

All ParkConneCT service is fare free, and drops off directly at Middle Beach in Hammonasset. Schedules are available online, onboard our buses and at the terminal.
