Call for Artists! Autumn Arts Festival on the Madison Green—Seeking artists for outdoor festival on Madison Town Green (Boston Post Road/Route 1 and Copse Road) October 7, 2023 (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and October 8, 2023 (Noon to 5:00 p.m.). (Rain date October 9th (10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.).  Fine artisans may submit work for consideration for sale in the Store at Spectrum Gallery. Spectrum Gallery Exhibit: Falling into Fall, September 22 – November 4, 2023—Explore new and exciting artwork by established and emerging artists who celebrate the colorful and joyous season of fall. Discover original paintings, sculpture, mixed media, and photography. On Zoom: Art Journaling Workshop—Create journal pages with new techniques such as using alcohol inks on special Yupo paper for brilliant backgrounds and abstract landscapes. Learn to precolour background papers via, painting or making gel prints and then use stencils to create wallpaper or play with rubber stamps, art foamies and distress ink pads. Add texture to journal pages by adding raised stencil designs. Embellish with vintage postage mail and letters to collage into a unique composition. No experience necessary. Supply list upon registration. Tuesdays: September 26; October 3, 10, 17, 24, 2023.        12:30 p.m. to 2:30pm. $140. Members save $14.

Painting Your Pet in Watercolor Intensive—Paint a charming portrait of your cat or dog for yourself or someone special. Focus on capturing a pet’s eyes, fur, and other details in watercolor. Bring your best contour (outline) drawing of your cat or dog’s face prepared in advance on watercolor paper, or use the reference provided a week before class by the instructor. A complete painting of either a white or black pet will be demonstrated. Those of a different coloring or pattern will also be shown. Some drawing experience is helpful. Early registration is recommended for enough time to prepare a drawing before class. Supply list available upon registration. Saturday, September 30, 2023 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. $75.

Volunteer Opportunities—Volunteers sought to help at gallery show installations, festivals (next one is the Autumn Arts Festival on October 7 and 8, 2023 on the Madison Town Green), and other events and programming throughout the year.
