(September 30, 2023) — Regrettably, the Haddam Meadows State Park Invasive Plant Cleanup and Trash Pickup, scheduled for today, Saturday, September 30, 2023, has been cancelled because of inclement weather.
If you are interested in volunteering as a CT DEEP Adopt-A- Park volunteer to help our crew of five pick up trash and organize yearly invasive plant cleanups and trash pickups, please contact Cheryl Czuba at cherylczuba@comcast.net.
You will be put in touch with Wanda Torres, the CT DEEP Volunteer Coordinator. Also, whenever you visit the park, consider bringing a bag to pick up trash, and/or bring your loppers to work around removing invasives from the trees, especially those identified as flowering trees.
We’ll be back in early April 2024 for our first spring invasive plant cleanup and trash pickup.
