(April 15, 2024) — Sacred Heart on the Lake Retreat Center will present a retreat called “Experiences in Prayer: How to open our hearts and minds to a growing personal relationship with God” on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Christianity is a faith based on both a very personal and a communal relationship with God- The Father, The Son, Jesus Christ, and God’s Holy Spirit. During this day of retreat we will explore some of the ways we can grow in a more personal relationship with God and recognize and hear God’s voice speaking to us through God’s Word in Scripture. Jesus is that Word made Flesh from God’s Holy Spirit living within us, given through Scripture and the Sacraments of The Church, The Body of Christ. By a prayerful relationship with God we can respond to His invitation to a deep love and real friendship.
