THE RON BOOTH MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING
to support the Higganum Congregational Church
The 9th Annual Ron Booth Memorial Golf Outing will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Black Birch Golf Club in Moodus, CT. A portion of the proceeds will be donated in memory of Ron to The First Tee of Connecticut. First Tee, the organization chosen by Ron’s family, was created to expose golf to underprivileged youth who might not normally have access to the game.
In 2010 Ron’s vision of a unique golf event became a reality. He wanted it to focus on what was important in his life: family, friends, fun, faith and food. As a result, the outing is more about the comradery and raising funds to further the missions of the church than the golf scores!
That spirit continues at the post golf festivities originally held at his home on the river. This year’s festivities will be at the home of Sam and Pam Crum, 275 Saybrook Road, Higganum, CT. The dinner is attended by almost as many sponsors and non-golfers as golfers. Following the delicious steak and chicken dinner the trophy presentation and much-anticipated raffle of desirable donated items will keep everyone captivated.
The cost for golf and dinner is $125; the cost for dinner only is $25.

- Tee sponsorships for a donation of $100
- In-kind donations of goods and services for our raffle
Each sponsor will have a sign on the course and at the dinner to be attended by all the golfers and many others. They will also be mentioned in the brochure each golfer and diner will receive and in our church newsletter.
In addition, Angel Sponsors will be recognized on a banner which will be prominently displayed at the course, the dinner and the church.
