RiverQuest Cruises Restarting River Tours After COVID-19 Shutdown

Editorial Staff.

Because of COVID-19, RiverQuest river cruises had to shut down, like many other local businesses. That isn’t to say that they sat around twiddling their thumbs. Captain Mark remodeled the pilot house, and there has been some cleaning and painting while there were no customers. Cathy was doing distance presentations for virtual Scouts BSA Camp Mattatuck’s online summer camp, Camp Kinda-Like-A, that was very popular with Scouts across the country, since many camps were closed due to COVID-19.

The good news is that RiverQuest is going to start doing tours again, with a limited schedule and a reduced capacity. “Our first priority is keeping everyone safe!”

Their “First Friday Sunset Cruise” will be on August 28, 2020 — their first public cruise since March 15, 2020. There will also be Tree Swallow Sunset cruises and Daytime Sightseeing cruises. See their website for more information.
