Haddam Fire Marshal.
(September 6, 2019) — It was brought to the Haddam Fire Marshal’s attention that a customer visited a local establishment to get their 20 lb propane tank filled. The store was busy at that time, so when the customer reached the counter, the attendant asked if they knew how to fill the tank themselves. Thankfully, the person said no, so the attendant filled the tank. This is wrong on so many levels. The establishment was abated and NFPA violations were cited. As a reminder, tanks are only good for 12 years and never bring your tank inside the establishment.
