Spectrum Gallery Exhibit: Reaching for the Sky. For many cultures, the sky offers important meaning through the telling of time, changes in seasons, and clues to predict and navigate the weather.
It has spawned legends, myths, and spiritual beliefs. Established and emerging artists present new paintings, sculpture, mixed media, and photography that explores this theme. Runs through Saturday, May 11, 2024.

In Gallery: Character Anatomy and Design Workshop
Take a journey into this three-hour drawing course focused on exploring and bringing to life character designs! Instructor breaks down the fundamentals of character anatomy and emotional expression. The course includes basics on drawing clothing, armor, hair, and fur as well. Participants will become aware of and knowledgeable about these important visual assets for their own character design. Opportunities for feedback during the class. No experience is necessary. Instructor supplies materials. All levels welcome. Sunday, April 21, 2024 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. $50. Members save $5.
In Gallery: Create a Hand-Painted Garment
Use your fashion self-expression and passion to create a one-of-a-kind wearable art piece! Participants are guided to come up with a design and learn how to place their design in a flattering way on their garment. Stencils will be available to help with design drawing. Learn to hold the fabric flat and how to add multiple layers and coats of paint to create the desired design effects. Choosing proper-sized brushes is discussed and splatter techniques are explored to give the final design excitement and spontaneity! Please bring a garment of your choice. All levels are welcome. In Gallery: Magic Touch! Holographic Foil Effects on Acrylic Art
Learn to use holographic foil to enhance your artwork and add sparkle. First half of the class instructor shares a sample painting and guide to complete it. Follow along or create your own ideas to decorate with the foil. Sample is an acrylic painting on board of a whimsical nature scene. (A drawn-out template is provided on the board to help beginners.) Once paintings are complete, the real fun begins with a holographic magic wand to make them pop! Learn basic properties of holographic transfer foil; use of foil glue (application and drying time); applying transfer foil to the surface and tips for best effects. Participants leave with a finished piece with holographic prism foil details. Sunday, May 5, 2024 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. $55. Members save $5.50.
