Residents of Haddam and Killingworth are invited to attend a variety of tours and meetings to learn more about the RSD #17 Master Plan regarding school repairs. It has been estimated that the costs could be $100 million dollars.
Community input on the district-wide plan is vital in this process because it will have an impact on all residents over the next 20+ years.
In an effort to help the public understand what is involved several presentations and tours have been scheduled by RSD #17.
Key Dates to Remember:
Thursday, August 24, 2023 – Guided Tours are available from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Killingworth Elementary School and HK Intermediate-Middle School.
Friday, August 25, 2023 – Guided Tours are available from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Burr Elementary and HK High School.
Wednesday, September 13, 2023 – Open House at HKHS 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 13, 2023 – Community Conversation at the HKHS Auditorium 6:00 p.m. Refinement of the overall plan will be presented for community feedback.
Thursday, November 16, 2023 – Community Presentation at the HKHS Auditorium 6:00 p.m. The preferred direction will be presented to the towns of Haddam and Killingworth and the RSD 17 Board of Education.
