(Dec. 9, 2019) — This past June, the 13th edition of The Relay for Life of Haddam-Killingworth was held at the HK High School track and field facility. With Mother Nature’s cooperation, a day to Celebrate, Remember & Fight Back against cancer continued to be attended by many participants as well as dozens of “inspiring” survivors.
As we start organizing for next year’s event, we take a minute to reflect back on the stories shared, the friendships created, and the smiles on all of the faces. Young and old turn out each year to fight this terrible disease, as well as to just take a break from life and enjoy the comradery of friendships made over the years. Who would have thought that a cancer diagnosis could have such a positive impact on ones’ life.
While there are many individuals and organizations to thank, it is the Haddam-Killingworth community, as a whole, which makes this event special. Thank you for your past support, and, thank you in advance for your continued support of our event.
Please consider joining our fight by attending next years’ event on June 27, 2020 at the HK High School from 12:00 noon until 10:00 p.m.
If you would like to help out, or, just find out more about The Relay for Life, feel free to attend one of our meetings.
