(August 19, 2022) —Residents of High Meadow in Haddam were treated to a summer concert on August 16, 2022 by The Swallowtails. They are an ensemble of one violinist and three guitarists.
The group consists of Nancy Meyers, Mary Cooke, Wayne LePard and Tom Worthley. After the program, light refreshments were severed. Anyone interested in providing entertainment for our residents should contact Jo Ann Woickelman at 860-345-2077.
On the first day of summer, June 21st, a picnic was held. It was catered by Cyr BBQ of Middletown. Greg McKenna of Nutmeg Pharmacy in Higganum provided the funding. A delicious meal was enjoyed by all!
A holiday luncheon is planned for November. A hot turkey dinner with all the fixings will be served. Board members are also working on a Christmas chorale program for December.
High Meadow is a facility for persons age 62+, as well as individuals 62+ with disabilities. There are 22 units, a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments. The facility is managed by Wildwood Property Management, LLC.
