King Pong to Offer Ping Pong Tables, Billiards and Gathering Space for Up to 30 People
Middletown, Conn March 2021 – On March 27, 2021, King Pong, a new recreational business focused on inexpensive fun for family and friends is opening its doors in Middletown. Located just off Main St at 90 Court St., this new business is conveniently located in a historic building that once housed the Middlesex Superior Court. Within the 1250 square foot space, customers will find three ping pong tables spaced in accordance with USA Table Tennis guidelines in the main area. An eight-foot slate pool table will be located in an adjoining room.
For aspiring competitive table tennis athletes, a robotic training partner will be made available. Less serious players can enjoy the challenge of a glow-in-the-dark option, made possible with blacklights which produce glowing boundary lines, net top, ball and paddles.
Open Monday through Thursday evenings for league play and weekends from noon to 5pm for open play, King Pong will accept reservations as well as walk-in customers. The venue will also be available for private gatherings of as few as 4 or as many as thirty people.
“While there are several indoor recreational options in the Greater Middletown area, most of them are limited to very specific age groups,” said Mark Loomis, co-owner of King Pong. “Our goal was to provide a safe, fun and inexpensive option for all ages.”
Ping pong table rental will start at $10 an hour per person, with special rates available for families and seniors. League players will pay $35 per month for one hour of league play during each week, plus unlimited free play during weekend hours. Small one-hour private gatherings can be booked for as few as four players for $20 each. Larger parties will start at $200 for groups of up to 12 people for two hours, with the option of adding guests at $10 each.
