Nathaniel Field Team Participates in First Annual Suicide Prevention Walk in Niantic

Submitted by Marie and Howie Field.

On September 15, 2018, The Nathaniel B. Field Memorial Foundation, Inc. team “You’re Worth It!” participated in the first annual American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of Darkness Walk held at McCook Point Beach and Park in Niantic, CT.  The 48 “You’re Worth It!” team members, along with nearly 300 other participants, walked along the Crescent Beach boardwalk on a spectacular late summer afternoon on Long Island Sound.  The event raised more than $25,226, surpassing AFSP’s initial fundraising goal.  These funds will be used to support the AFSP’s mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide at both the national level and for southeastern Connecticut communities.

We would like to thank all the participants, donors, friends, and family who continue to support our efforts towards Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness. Through your generous support, it is our hope that the activities and events our Foundation pursues will get us closer to achieving our mission statement and ultimately save lives.  We look forward to giving back through the positive impact we hope our Foundation will have on others.  We are humbled and very much appreciative of your support.  For more information on our Foundation’s efforts, visit us at www.nathanielfield.org .
