Nancy Meyers Entertains Residents of High Meadows with Patriotic Music

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022 the residents at High Meadow (Haddam’s senior housing facility) were treated to a program of patriotic music by Nancy Meyers.  Her songs covered the period from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WW I and thru WW II.  Residents were invited to sing along, guess the name of the song and who wrote the song.  As Nancy went through her repertoire, she revealed the history related to each song.

Nancy is a long time Haddam resident who plays both the violin and fiddle.  She started playing at the age of 8.  Nancy has entertained at reenactments, assisted living facilities and convalescent homes.  During COVID19 she and others played via Zoom.

High Meadow is a facility for 62+/disabled individuals. There are 22 units, a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments.  The facility is managed by Wildwood Property Management LLC.
