(Middletown, CT.) Chairman Don DeVivo of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced that the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce’s Real Estate Council dropped off a box of more than 600 get well letters to the patients of Middlesex Health.
The Chamber’s Real Estate Council is involved in all things real estate and knows the business of “home.” It thought that during this difficult time letters filled with love and good thoughts would bring cheer to patients who are not allowed visitors at this time.
Terri Savino, Middlesex Health’s manager of patient experience and service excellence, distributed the letters to Middlesex Health patients. “We thank the Real Estate Council for taking the time to create so many letters,” she said. “This thoughtful gesture made our patients and staff smile during this difficult time.”
Chairwoman, Nancy Currlin of the Real Estate Council noted, “We’re so pleased to have so many of our members participate in this event. Many of the cards were very creative and personal. We hope it brought a smile to the faces of all who are isolated from their family and friends. When you do something for others it makes two people feel good, the receiver and the giver. We’re lucky we had the chance to do something.”
