(Middletown, CT.) Chairwoman, Maureen Westbrook of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced that United States Representative, Joe Courtney will serve as keynote speaker at a Virtual Chamber Luncheon Meeting on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
The Virtual Luncheon Meeting, sponsored by Tower Laboratories LTD, will be held via Zoom from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Congressman Courtney’s district includes many of the down-county towns within the chamber’s service area. His remarks will touch on the important issues that he is working on as he represents his constituents in Washington, D.C. including COVID-19 recovery, infrastructure, American Rescue Plan Funds, manufacturing and the defense sector in Connecticut, and much more.
Congressman Courtney serves on the House Armed Services Committee, as Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces, and on the House Education and Labor Committee.
