(November 7, 2024) — Chairman Rodney Bitgood of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Chamber will once again host a free addiction information seminar titled, “Facing the Holidays IV.”
This annual seminar, presented by the Chamber’s Recovery Employment Program (REP), Middlesex County Substance Abuse Action Council (MCSAAC) and the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott, 4 Sebethe Drive in Cromwell. There is no cost to attend.
Join our presenters for an insightful discussion on the challenges people in recovery face during the holiday season. Important topics such as depression, alcohol consumption, family dynamics, navigating the holidays and the unique struggles faced by individuals recently released from prison will be discussed.
