Looking for Forever Home: King

Submitted by Jude Levin, VP, CT Animal House.

This is a story of rags to riches.  My name is King and as my name implies I am regal, brave loyal and magnificent.  But this was not always the case.  When I was relinquished from my owner, after it had been reported to Norwich Animal Control that he had been seen beating and starving me, I had a body score of 1 and I was so weak I could barely walk.

After diagnostic testing and lots of TLC from all of my friends at CT Animal House I was able to gain weight. It was a slow process, but now I am at my ideal weight and I look marvelous!  I do require a very strict diet and daily enzyme supplements in order to process my food properly, but I’m worth it.

Even though I have endured so much in my short life I continue to wag my tail and give gentle kisses to everyone. I need a patient and knowledgeable adopter to teach me to fully trust again and navigate my way through a world that I have not had much exposure to.

I am a very energetic boy who loves to play, go on car rides and walks. I would love a big fenced in yard to run around in.  Once I’ve been worn out from playing I do love a good couch to cuddle on.  I would really like to be the only pet in the house –after all I am the King!

If you have the love, energy and patience to give to this deserving young dog, Please go to www.CTAnimalhouse.org and fill out an application or for questions call 860-400-0165.
