Letter to the Editor: Project Graduation 2019 – A Job Very Well Done

(June 12, 2019) — Last night I volunteered for a few hours at Project Graduation and was completely impressed.  The hours of planning, thought and work put in by this group of volunteers were evident.  The decorations were amazing, the prizes abundant, and the games varied and fun.  The seniors were engaged, laughing, smiling and clearly having a great time. What a wonderful way to end their time at HK.
But, for me, perhaps the nicest part of the evening were Project Graduation volunteers I encountered.  I met moms, dads, grandparents, police officers and HK teachers.  They all had the same mission – to enthusiastically offer a fun and safe environment for our kids.  And they succeeded.  Project Graduation is part of the fabric that binds our community together.  It serves as an example why Haddam and Killingworth are such great places to raise and educate our children.  This is a good way to live.
Thank you to everyone involved in Project Graduation for a job very well done.
