State Senator Christine Cohen is good for Killingworth and good for Connecticut.
What makes her so outstanding is the way she connects those dots. She knows Killingworth (and the other towns in her district) up close, and she gives us full attention. For instance, she has been actively involved in Killingworth’s response to the discovery of PFAS in some wells here since we first discovered the problem. She has worked with the DEEP, the Department of Public Health, and town officials to make sure we got quick, accurate information and remediation for the affected households. She met virtually and in person with affected families.
And then she went further. Christine became a leading voice against PFAS in the state. She has led the way in legislating bans on PFAS in some of its most common uses, firefighting foam and food packaging.
Christine is recognized as an environmental leader in the state, and she has brought that leadership to bear on preserving Deer Lake from development.
She has a strong record on legislation supporting Connecticut families, and she has supported Killingworth’s own food pantry with regular donations from her family business.
She has made small businesses a priority, and she worked closely with Running Brook Nurseries to get them one of the first CBD-grower licenses in the state.
We need to keep Christine representing us in the legislature. Please join me in voting for her on November 8th.
