Letter to the Editor: In Support of State Rep. Christine Palm

To The Editor:

I am writing in support of our State Representative Christine Palm, for re-election in the 36th Assembly District. Much has been said about this election which has inspired me to write.

I have been fortunate to have a positive experience with Representative Palm, and to learn
personally that she is dedicated to her work and responsive to the needs of her constituents. I have contacted her on a number of occasions about issues relating to Haddam, and she worked promptly to address my concerns. One of the issues was about the trash littering Rt. 154 between Higganum Center and the local transfer station. Not only did the problem get resolved immediately, but Representative Palm followed up with emails and a phone call to report on the results. While this may seem a minor concern, it demonstrated to me that Representative Palm is on task, dedicated, and responsive to her constituents.

She is not a stranger to the residents in Haddam and makes every effort to be involved in local issues and events. She has also demonstrated extraordinary leadership on the state level as a first-term legislator, ensuring that all eligible voters can vote safely with an absentee ballot in the November election.

Representative Palm has proven to be a diligent public servant and has earned her right to return to the CT General Assembly. Why would I consider any other choice in this election?

Respectfully submitted,
Susann Costa
Haddam, CT
