As a new member of the Killingworth community I have had the opportunity to meet the Democratic candidates running for town office. It is an astute, informed, and impressive slate of candidates. Collectively, they reflect seasoned experience in town government and unquestionable commitment to their community.

I write today in support of Eric Couture, candidate for First Selectman, and Joel D’Angelo, candidate for Selectman.
Eric Couture is a bright, energetic and affable candidate who has demonstrated competence and ability as a member of the RSD 17 Board of Education. Leaders in our community applaud him for his role in improving communication with the Board of Selectmen. In this sometimes contentious political environment, it is encouraging to know that he has the leadership skills to build consensus and bring people together. In addition, Eric has also served on the Killingworth Energy Task Force, bringing valuable experience to the office of First Selectman. He deserves our vote.

Joel D’Angelo is also an exceptional candidate. He has served on the RSD 17 Board of Education for more than twelve years in service to his community. As a School Board member, he chaired the Finance Committee and demonstrated sound judgment. Committed to quality
education, he also served as a competent gatekeeper of the school budget. Joel holds a Ph.D. in biology and has proven success in his career as an educator. As Selectman, his knowledge of science and the environment is sure to benefit Killingworth residents.

It has been reassuring to me, as a new member of the Killingworth community, to learn about the qualifications of these candidates for town office. Killingworth reflects a strong commitment to quality of life issues. I am confident that these candidates will enhance the quality of life in Killingworth and serve their community well, not just for today, but for the future. For proven leadership in Killingworth, I hope that you will vote Row A on November 7th.
