I am pleased to offer my endorsement of Eric Couture for Killingworth First Selectman and Joel D’Angelo for Selectman.
As proven by their dedication and contributions to the Board of Education, Eric Couture and Joel D’Angelo will bring energy, a collaborative approach, and bright, focused minds to the Board of Selectmen. At this turning point in our community, with the significant and complex PFAS challenges facing Killingworth, difficult decisions will need to be made that factor in many variables and unknowns.
Eric Couture and Joel D’Angelo both have scientific training; that background, along with their work on the Board of Education, has prepared them to work on our behalf with the various stakeholders and state officials. They will ask the right questions, collect relevant information and alternatives, build consensus, and make informed decisions.
These two men will lead Killingworth forward, building upon the extensive work initiated by Cathy Iino and continued and broadened by the current Board of Selectmen. Putting them in office will maintain fiscal responsibility and advance work done in the areas of sustainability. They will energize the traffic committee, advance the objectives presented by our newly appointed Committee on Aging, and responsibly support our regional school system, first responders, and our local businesses. And they will follow through with the construction of the baseball field and pickleball courts.
Please join me in voting on November 7th for Eric Couture, Joel D’Angelo, and our entire Democratic slate on Row A.
