Letter to the Editor: Former State Representative Endorses Russell

As a former State Representative to the Connecticut General Assembly, I understand the demands of this position. Legislators must review and consider many pieces of legislation during each legislative session.  Some of the bills may deal with complex issues.   At the same time, these legislators must communicate with area residents so their views are properly represented.

Kathryn Russell is skilled at dealing with complicated, multi-faceted problems from her experiences as a corporate business leader, small business entrepreneur and community leader.  She also has an MBA from the distinguished Wharton business school.

What makes Kathryn exceptional is she combines these skills with genuine concern for people.   She is comfortable discussing important issues with people from both parties, along with residents from different age groups and work experiences.

It was an honor to be your voice in Hartford in the 2017-2019 Legislative Session. I know Kathryn Russell has the skills and determination to lead Chester, Deep River, Essex and Haddam in the Connecticut General Assembly.  Please vote for Kathryn Russell on November 5th or when early voting.

Bob Siegrist, Haddam (Former 36th District State Representative)

The writer is the Town Clerk of Haddam.
