Letter to the Editor: Christine Cohen Worthy of Being Re-elected

To the Editor:

It is the dedication and willingness to thoroughly study the issues at hand in serving her constituents in the 12th Senatorial District that makes Christine Cohen so worthy of being re-elected this November.

In her first term, Senator Cohen has worked diligently as Senate Chair of the Environmental Committee, Vice-Chair of the Commerce Committee, and a voting member on both the Planning & Development and Children’s Committees.  Senator Cohen created and co-chairs the Coastal Caucus, a bipartisan group of lawmakers who focus on the issues affecting coastal towns, cities and waterways.

As a member of the 9 Town Transit Board of Directors, I have had the opportunity to work with Senator Cohen regarding public transportation.  She has come to our sessions well-informed, participating in discussions about our services, issues and initiatives.  She has actively supported 9 Town Transit’s services in the State Legislature.

Christine has held sessions in each of the towns in her district in which she provides information as to what is happening at the State Legislature, listens to each constituents concerns, and asks what more she could do for us.

Christine Cohen’s enthusiasm and energy is boundless. She has been a solid, dependable voice in Hartford, one that represents the interests of  her own towns and those of Connecticut in general.

Please join me in re-electing Christine Cohen as our State Senator on Nov. 3.
