KRTC- Hosted Red Cross Blood Drive a Huge Success

By Laura Lee Lefko

(July 7, 2022) The Killingworth Republican Town Committee-hosted blood drive was a huge success. All 40 appointments were filled and 36 usable pints were collected, exceeding the Red Cross goal of 24 pints. Many thanks to Eileen Morris Blewett for organizing and running the blood drive, to Eileen Unger-Pleines, “The Bread Girl,” for her delicious baked goods which all the donors really loved, to the Red Cross, to the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Co. for the use of their space, to the 40+ donors, and to the KRTC volunteers who came out and spent the day serving our awesome community. This is just one more time that Killingworth has shown that our spirit of community is amazing!
