Two on-line hearings are coming up this week:

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2020, 7:00 PM The Killingworth Planning & Zoning Commission will hold an online hearing on a petition to amend the Killingworth Zoning Regulations, Article XII, Commercial Districts, Section 500-69 to permit drive-through windows at restaurants in our commercial district. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2020, 7:00 PM The Board of Selectmen will hold an online hearing on the Multi-Year Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Years 2021 (the fiscal year that we are in now) to 2030.

The MYCIP is normally voted on at a Town Meeting, usually at the same time as the budget. Because of the COVID pandemic, the Board of Finance will vote on the MYCIP after the hearing. The plan is a way of forecasting what the capital needs of the town will be over the long term. It is not a commitment to spend, and it changes from year to year as new needs emerge and others are reconsidered.
