Library Drop Box Will Open on April 15, 2020
We still don’t know when the Killingworth Library will reopen. We are following the governor’s guidelines so as of now, the library building will be closed until at least May 20.
We have received many inquiries from patrons asking to return books that they have finished reading, and we will be re-opening the library drop box on April 15 so people can begin returning library books. If you have more than 5 books checked out, we ask that you limit the number of items you place in the drop to 5 per visit so as to not overfill the drop box. Remember no fines will be charged while the library is closed!
While we will not be accepting book or music donations, starting on April 15 we will be placing a cart of free books selected from our book sale area near the drop box for any who wish to choose a book to read. We suggest you wear gloves while choosing a book.
Please remember to practice social distancing if another patron is at the book drop when you stop by. We look forward to seeing our patrons “in person” again, but until that day remember that staff is available to assist you Monday – Friday. If you need help logging into your account or accessing our online materials, please call the library at 860-663-2000 or email us at mail@killingworthlibrary.org
Wishing you all good health – stay home, stay safe!
