(August 7, 2023) — The KHS Quilt and Fiber Art Show will be held at the Historical Society’s new barn at Parmelee Farm, 465 Route 81 in Killingworth. On display will be new, contemporary, antique quilts and KHS-owned quilts. Also on display will be antique and reproduction samplers featuring the Society’s 1830 sampler by nine-year-old Eliza Wright.
There will be a boutique of handmade quilted items, and a vendor selling quilted items; also available will be notions and kits at discounted prices.
We will be selling raffle tickets for a Queen-size Christmas quilt called “Fulfilled Wishes,” for $5.00; the drawing will be held at our Annual Christmas Fair December 2, 2023. The quilt was designed by former Killingworth resident Brenda Archambault.
The show is a fundraiser for the Killingworth Historical Society. Proceeds support the annual upkeep of the Society’s buildings.
Admission: $5.00.
Hours: September 23, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. September 24, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
