On April 24, 2021, Haddam Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle vs. tree accident on Killingworth Road. A driver struck a mailbox on the southbound lane and crashed into a tree in the northbound lane. The operator was transported to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Ambulance Service. A passenger who also was involved in the accident was evaluated on scene and refused additional medical treatment. Crews closed one lane of traffic during the incident.
